My first blog post, as requested by Zip. And I should do this, I think, because it’d be better to get a lot of stuff off my chest. I’m pretty sure hardly anyone in Paper School writes blogs besides my friends, so I think I’ll be off the hook.

Anyway, I was scrolling through my notes and found some old pictures of me and some other bozos. I didn’t know where they came from until I scrolled down. This was taken a few weeks after I enrolled in Paper School and when I was still in the Cult (yes, that’s its actual name). The leaders — I think they failed a test or something, so I can’t contact them — felt they could pull something off. Now, clubs are generally supported in Paper School, so the teachers somehow overlooked this and continued as if nothing happened.

The “cult” itself was fine — there weren’t any sacrificial rituals or anything. The main idea was that if you prayed to the leader enough, your grades would improve. It was a dumb move that could’ve easily been seen through. Still, I was curious and decided to join for one day.

And to my surprise, people were actually joining. Let that sink in for a second. A “cult” that revolves around praying to the leader to get good grades, something so unbelievable, was gaining attention. And it was all in PAPER SCHOOL. I thought about tattling but realized that I could’ve made a bunch of enemies. So, I stayed silent. And it turns out that was a fun choice!

The leader of the group was way better than I expected. He taught me how to lie, cheat, pickpocket, and pull off a bunch of pranks without getting caught. Whenever someone in our group needed help, we’d help them! When we needed to cover our tracks, we’d do it! Simple. It was like a criminal organization where the boss was actually smart.

It was only until the final exams started that everything went downhill. Since some students didn’t study, the group decided to try to modify the test questions to make them easier. Unfortunately, the people assigned to the task got caught and were executed.

Luckily, not all of us were ratted out. But we knew we had to leave. Miss Circle did realize the massive cult lurking underneath the mundane hums of the school, though, but by then, it was too late.

When the other teachers heard the news, they said it was like a massive drug operation. And I can see where they’re coming from.
